The range of topics covered are as diverse as various usage scenarios: technical writing and documentation is going through an exciting period of change and growth. As a worldwide leading supplier of Component Content Management System solutions, we always have our finger on the pulse of these new developments. At this year’s SCHEMA Conference on 19 and 20 June 2018 at the NürnbergMesse complex, we don’t just want to present our solutions to existing challenges. We want to invite you to interact with us, to join in our exchange of experiences and learn about the specific usage scenarios that will likely occur in the “tech doc” sector over the coming years. This year’s two-day programme is again just as extensive as it is informative and, alongside our customers who will also be hosting discussions at the event, our experts are eagerly looking forward to highlighting the practical innovations and revised functions of our SCHEMA ST4 and SCHEMA CDS system solutions – Innovations that improve the daily working life of technical writers and producers of documentation, as well as preparing your company for the future.
How automating workflows provides increased flexibility
In his workshop, More fun with Workflow Designer, Maximilian Herrmann shows participants how to get the most from Workflow Designer, adapting workflows easily and effectively to suit daily technical writing processes. Workflow Designer is at the heart of the newly designed workflow engine in SCHEMA ST4 2018, which allows users to independently define individual workflows without needing any programming skills. The Workflow Designer can automate individual tasks, or even whole sequences of tasks, so that you can handle jobs with maximum efficiency.
Information 4.0 – the future starts here with SCHEMA and the new iiRDS standard
iiRDS is the intelligent Information Request and Delivery Standard. But what exactly is this standard and why do we need it? Our expert Heide Ebert has been working closely with single source publishing, XML/XSL, content management and document engineering for over 20 years. She runs a workshop entitled Fit for iiRDS with metadata and taxonomies: How you can support the new Tekom standard with ST4 where she shows participants how they can support the new tekom standard with SCHEMA ST4.
Project Configurator – how SCHEMA ST4 makes life easier
Klaus Kurre presents a workshop about the Project Configurator as an ST4 component for automatically compiling publications according to metadata and search criteria: The Project Configurator – When and for what do I actually need it?
New! The BoF lunch for those thirsty for knowledge
We are delighted to announce that this year’s SCHEMA Conference will see the introduction of a new element: the “Birds of a Feather” lunch. On the second day of the event (20 June), we will provide our attendees with tables to discuss specific topics, all while we share lunch together. The respective topic for discussion will be stated on each table and each table will be moderated by a SCHEMA staff member. We would like you to pick the topics: What are your pressing issues, what would you like to discuss and learn more about? You can make your suggestions on the registration form in the field labelled Your topic suggestions or via email to the following adress: firstname.lastname@example.org.
To view the entire programme for the SCHEMA Conference, including descriptions of each workshop and information about our speakers, please see our conference page, which also includes a contact form.
