As in previous years, the common thread that unites the various components of this year’s conference is the trend that is under way in the realm of technical documentation – namely moving away from analogue preparation methods, and proceeding via digital document storage through to the smart provision of information. The conference is an event that has now become a fixed point on the annual calendar of agents and decision-makers in the “tech doc” sector: the SCHEMA Conference in Nuremberg. This year, we are looking forward to welcoming clients, technical writers, experts and, last but not least, trendsetters and pioneers at the Nürnberger Conference Center (NCC Mitte) on 19 and 20 June.
A bit of fun is what it’s all about …
As in previous years, delegates will spend an enjoyable period of two days attending exciting presentations and numerous workshops, during which they will acquire a more in-depth insight into both theory and practice of technical writing and documentation, including a look ahead to the near future. The SCHEMA Conference is growing larger every year, but has still retained its character as an extra-special sector-specific meeting point, at which delegates not only have the opportunity to take part in specialist discussions, to convey high-quality content and to develop their practical knowledge, but also have the opportunity to shake hands with contacts both old and new, which is something that we are already looking forward to doing.
Industrie 4.0, AR, KI – are these simply a hype or will they soon standard?
In addition to the implementation of the new format for the delivery of smart information, known as iiRDS for short, within SCHEMA products, the smart Component Content system, SCHEMA ST4, and the SCHEMA Content Delivery Server will naturally be placed centre-stage. In addition to countless in-house experts from SCHEMA itself, this year’s conference will also include contributions from well-known external speakers who will bring delegates up to date from a scientific perspective, as well as with regard to developments of a practical, everyday nature. Anyone attending this year’s SCHEMA Conference can therefore look forward to a great many highlights: whilst on the first day of the conference, our specialists will provide presentations on the subject of future-proof innovations and developments regarding SCHEMA ST4 and SCHEMA CDS, the second day of the conference will provide an opportunity for SCHEMA customers and partners to present reports about SCHEMA solutions and the way in which they have used them in their everyday professional lives. Following a podium discussion about workflows, an exciting keynote speech and the closing session entitled “Smart content for Industrie 4.0 and the internet of things”, the conference will close its doors on the Wednesday evening and its participants will head for home, hopefully satisfied and well informed.
Everyone and everything – our partners, from A to Z

A bit like a class reunion
Useful to know: on the evening of 19 June, we will once again be holding our Get-together in the traditional Nuremberg hostelry “Bratwurst Röslein” – after a focused day spent amidst the ambiance of the NürnbergMesse trade fair complex, this evening event will offer our guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the flair of Nuremberg’s Old Town and to spend an evening in a relaxed atmosphere, while expanding their network at the same time.
We look forward to seeing you again or making your acquaintance on 19 and 20 June 2018 in Nuremberg.
