ST4 Online Media Designer: Online Layouts made easy

You are familiar with this scenario: The agent delivered the prototypes and now the only thing that is left is to transfer the design into the CMS. Or: Your clients want their product datasheets “exactly” in the design of their homepage – however in HTML5. And you know: A whole lot of work is waiting for you. However this is now going to end.

As with the new component Online Media Designer (OMD) of SCHEMA ST4, you can create without laborious programming, layouts for HTML5 web applications and several other directly producible target formats such as MS Help Viewer 2.0 and ePUB. You can also create freely definable XML and of course SCHEMA Help on a graphic interface. The Online Media Designer does in fact work in a framework-neutral manner, however, a template will be already delivered for the popular Bootstrap Framework.

All Beginnings Are Easy…
With the OMD you can import existing HTML layouts simply into SCHEMA ST4. Starting from a template page or simply by inserting the correct URL, the layout will be imported and then you can assign different content elements freely according to the design.

The importing of layouts is not the only thing which is made easier by the Online Media Designer. The Online Media Designer is integrated seamlessly in SCHEMA ST4. Clients who already work with the Page Layout Designer for print releases will recognize the working concept and the interface elements immediately. OMD can be inserted in all current ST4 workflows, for example, in derivations and reuses, when working with formats and templates, in the synchronization and in the in-place-changes. It works closely with the programming environment which is integrated in ST4.

The Live Preview is Available
One of the special highlights is the live preview. There you can see not only how the change in the production of the online medium operates, but also the code, which will be later produced in the production, prior to the production itself.
